David A. Henrichon MS, CPE, FMA, FMP Consultant Mr. Henrichon has pursued a lifetime of education and building industry related experience and assignments. His life’s mission is to make a difference through community activities and the sharing of his knowledge through classroom and personal mentoring. Education: Mr. Henrichon earned a certificate of proficiency in drafting in the mid 1960’s. After serving with the Navy Seabees (Construction Battalion), Mr. Henrichon went on to earn degrees in Architectural Engineering, Industrial Technology and a Master of Science degree in Applied Management, he is currently pursuing a PhD program in Management. Mr. Henrichon has held licenses as a real estate broker, refrigeration technician. He holds the designation of Certified Plant Engineer, Facility Management Administrator and Facility Management Professional. Mr. Henrichon has earned certificates in various levels of heating, ventilating, air conditioning, fire detection systems, energy management and studies of the national electric code. He has been delivering training and education courses at various colleges and universities since 1972. He is a national instructor for Building Owners and Managers Institute International (BOMI) and an international instructor for International Facility Management Association (IFMA). At various colleges, Mr. Henrichon has taught such diverse courses as structural steel drafting, technical communications and construction cost estimating. He was an advanced first aide instructor for the National Red Cross organization for over a decade. Professional Responsibilities: Mr. Henrichon began a 31 year career in the telecommunications industry in 1972 holding numerous management positions. He was a building industry consulting engineer who assisted developers of large building construction projects with the task of engineering the necessary facilities for telecommunications cables to enter a building and feed telephone locations within a building. He moved on to project management function, construction cost estimator and building mechanical design engineer, with responsibility of developing plans and specifications for new construction and for renovation projects. Mr. Henrichon later became an instructor at New York Telephone’s Buildings Technical Training Center, a one-of-a-kind, hands-on training center specializing in heating, ventilating, air conditioning, fire detection and electricity based skills training where an international base of students earned college credit with the completion of various courses, he became the director of the training center in the mid 90’s. Mr. Henrichon was responsible for developing an environmental compliance program for a five state region in New England and later became an originating member of the sale of training team formed to enhance revenues for New England Telephone. Mr. Henrichon concluded a 31 year career with the telecommunications industry by managing all phases of major construction projects in western New York for Verizon Communications. Community Activities: Mr. Henrichon assumed numerous leadership roles, including President of the board of directors for United Way of Wayne County, chairman of the Newarkfest Planning Committee, a board member of the chamber of commerce, and various volunteer roles with National Ski Patrol, Boy Scouts of America, a community theater group and National Red Cross. |
