            FUNDAMENTALS OF MANAGEMENT

TRAINING OBJECTIVE

At the end of the programme,participants will be able to understand basic FM issues and be able to manage most of the FM issues in their organisation.

 

  TRAINING MODULE

        1.  Building System M anagement & Maintainance: The training will introduce general Building System Management & Maintanance principle to the participants and at the end of the training participant will be able to understand the various approaches to building services Management and Maintainace and be able to apply it to their operations.

          a.    Maintenance planning & Management
          b.    Total productive  Maintenance programme(TPM)

        2.  Plants/Assets protection Strategies: The training will expose participants to various methods and approaches of  handling plants equipment and at the end of the training participants will be able to understand and implement these methods.

         a.   Optimum Utilization of Pant Resources
         b.   Protecting and Handling of Plant Resources.

       3.  Understanding Emergency Preparedness & Disaster Management: The training will provide general understanding on emergency preparedness and emergency response that will help them implement same in their organization at the end of the programme.

        Basic stages of planning

        c.  Emergency Mitigation
        d.  Post Event Restoration

 

      4.   Fire Safety Management: The trainees will at the end of the training participant will be able to identify various types of fire, the type of equipment to be used to fight the fire and various fire prevention methods.

         5. Engineering Spares Management: The training will equip the participants with the requisite knowledge that will assist them  manage engineering spares from identification, to sourcing, storing and managing their operations.

     6.    Environment, Health & Safety: HSE is an important part of FM, this module will equip the participants with the knowledge and skills that will assist them handle issues in HSE, develop policies and procedures in HSE.
 
            a.  HSE-- Principles and Practice
            b.  HSE-- Policy and Procedure drafting
            c.  HSE-- Management.

 

       7.  Business of FM: The biggest part of the training programme is Business of FM, the module covers introduction to the basic principles in FM and how to manage them.
